A Community Foundation of Broward grant is helping 100 Stranahan High School students prepare for careers in the finance industry.
Our $80,000 grant the school’s Academy of Finance magnet program helps students earn industry certifications, participate in internships, travel to leadership conferences, attend business
summits and participate in trade shows and a global immersion summit.
The school’s Academy of Finance teaches students about financial services, entrepreneurship, banking, financial planning, international finance, securities, insurance, accounting and more. Students get to participate in job shadowing, mock interviews, résumé writing and paid internships.
During our 2023 fiscal year, the Community Foundation provided more than $1 million in grants for Education and Youth Enrichment – supporting after-school programs, work-based learning, technology activities and other opportunities to empower Broward’s youth through education.
