We are saddened by the loss of Donald B. Medalie and extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Jo Ann, and all of his family and loved ones.

Don, an attorney who represented South Florida families and businesses for more than 60 years, believed in giving back and getting involved in the community he loved.

Don was a member of the Community Foundation of Broward’s Legacy Society as well as our Professional Advisors Council. He was a longtime supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and his civic involvement also included championing the Museum of Discovery and Science and Nova Southeastern University.

Don’s son and former law partner, Greg, carries on a family tradition of involvement at the Community Foundation, serving as a Board member and as the past Chair of the Professional Advisors Council. He and Jo Ann are also members of the Legacy Society.

We celebrate Don’s commitment to local philanthropy and are honored to be his philanthropy partner – ensuring that, through of the power of endowment, his legacy of impact never ends.
