The Community Foundation of Broward has struck Platinum and Gold, winning top honors in the 2018 MarCom Awards judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. This year, judges evaluated more than 6,000 entries from Fortune 500 companies, advertising and PR agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
The Community Foundation submitted 16 entries and all were winners. The Foundation received the top award, Platinum, in three categories. The Foundation also received eight Gold and five Honorable Mention awards. A full list is below with award categories and links to the various projects.
“We are serious about keeping our promise to inform, connect and engage our Fundholders, Legacy Society Members and other important stakeholders,” said Kirk Englehardt, the Foundation’s vice president of marketing and communications. “To know that a group of independent marketing and communications professionals considers our work to be ‘award-winning’ is extremely gratifying.”
Entries are judged on a 100-point scale. Those receiving scores of 90 to 100 are Platinum Winners. Scores of 80 to 90 are Gold Winners and 70 to 79 are Honorable Mention Winners. In the past, about 15 percent of entries won Platinum and around 20 percent won Gold. Approximately 10 percent were honorable mention winners. More than half of the entries into the competition receive no recognition.
