Commitment to Excellence: Achieving Our Accreditation Renewal

Accreditation seal.

The Community Foundation of Broward is pleased to announce that we have recently renewed our accreditation with Community Foundations National Standards®. Achieving this accreditation renewal indicates that we continue to meet the highest standards for philanthropic excellence.

Nearly 20 years ago, we became the first community foundation in Florida to earn this level of accreditation and we are proud to carry on our commitment to integrity and excellence.

The process of earning Community Foundations National Standards accreditation is arduous, requiring us to document our policies for donor services, investments, grantmaking and administration. Our documentation is reviewed by a community foundation expert from a panel appointed by the Community Foundations National Standards Board, a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations in Washington, D.C.

Through the years, as have we repeated the rigorous process to maintain our accreditation, we continue to show our commitment to going above and beyond federal and state law requirements to demonstrate accountability and excellence to our fundholders, policymakers and the public.‍

“Trust is essential to the Community Foundation’s partnerships with the dedicated, local philanthropists who turn to us to help them make a lasting difference,” said Community Foundation President/CEO Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D. “Achieving and maintaining our accreditation shows our rigorous dedication to excellence and our enduring commitment to providing the highest level of service to the community we love.”
