Representatives from The Our Fund Foundation and the Community Foundation of Broward celebrate with 2025 grant recipients at The Our Fund Foundation office in Wilton Manors on April 10.

The Our Fund Foundation and the Community Foundation of Broward are teaming up again to provide $360,000 in new grants to support social justice and racial equity for LGBTQ residents.

Formed in 2022, this strategic grantmaking partnership between the two foundations combines their philanthropic resources and expertise to foster a more informed, inclusive and equitable environment for Broward County’s LGBTQ community.

This year, 10 nonprofits – vetted by a joint selection committee – will receive grants ranging from $29,000 to $50,000 each to support the LGBTQ community through legal aid, the arts, youth programs, advocacy, education and more.

“We are proud to partner with The Our Fund Foundation to create real, lasting change,” said Community Foundation President/CEO Jennifer O'Flannery Anderson, Ph.D. “Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who carefully reviewed grant applications, we are funding projects with the power to transform lives. These grants reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every member of Broward’s LGBTQ+ community is treated with dignity, equity and respect. It’s a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we work together.”

The Our Fund Foundation’s support for the grantmaking collaboration comes from The Bill Beaton & Ted Emery Charitable Fund, The Paul Fasana Charitable Fund at The Our Fund Foundation, The Mona Pittenger Giving Fund and other sponsors of its LGBTQ+ Social Justice & Equity Fund.

“The LGBTQ+ community is facing relentless attacks from political and social forces seeking to roll back and destroy our hard-won rights,” said David Jobin, president & CEO of The Our Fund Foundation. “This fund is one of the many ways we are stepping up to meet the moment—thanks to the unwavering support of donors who recognize the urgent need for a meaningful philanthropic response.”
