Nancy Lynn Brown loves the new experiences and learning that come from traveling the world.

Her passion for travel started after college with a life-changing summer abroad. Her trip to Switzerland sparked a lifelong passion that has taken Nancy across the globe to experience other cultures, meet new people and learn about different ways of life beyond South Florida. Seeing new places, asking questions, making new friends – for Nancy, traveling provides new opportunities to learn and grow.

After all her travels, Nancy loves to come home to Broward. To give back to the place she has called home since 1970, Nancy’s BOLD philanthropy creates life-changing help for others in Broward. Her charitable gifts provide opportunities for women and children in need and support for innovative animal therapy. Now Nancy partners with the Community Foundation of Broward to empower local students to broaden their horizons and expand their world view through travel.

The endowed Nancy Lynn Brown Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation provides a permanent source of support to create educational travel opportunities for Broward’s college students – especially those who otherwise could not afford to go.

With more than three decades of experience administering scholarship Funds, the Community Foundation is uniquely suited to ensure Nancy’s support makes the greatest impact possible for local students. Nancy trusts the Foundation’s expert team to identify worthy scholarship recipients and make sure her gifts are used as intended. She has peace of mind knowing that the Foundation’s careful stewardship will continue to grow and safeguard her endowed Fund, enabling scholarships in her name to help generations of students experience the joy of travel.
