A newly-released comprehensive study examines Broward County's readiness for a mass influx of elderly residentsy by 2030. Long waiting lists for elderly services, holes in the safety net, a lack of coordination between service providers, isolation and a poor perception of seniors were all key areas of concern raised in the study.
The study was commissioned by the Community Foundation of Broward, Jewish Federation of Broward County, and United Way of Broward County.
