(Fort Lauderdale, 11-14-11) – Members of the Community Foundation of Broward’s Professional Advisors Council enjoyed a private reception and pairings of some of the world’s finest wines and cheeses at AutoNation’s corporate headquarters on November 10th.
More than 50 advisors were honored for their work to further philanthropy by helping their clients make significant contributions to Broward through the creation of Funds at the Community Foundation. Members included advisors from the legal, accounting, insurance, wealth management, business management and planned giving communities.
“We are honored to partner with advisors to offer our philanthropic expertise and help their clients make charitable choices that are right for them,” stated Barbara Witte, the Foundation’s vice president of Philanthropic Services.
Guests enjoyed music by the Florida Youth Orchestra and toasts by Foundation Board Members Richard A. Berkowitz, Janet Jordan, Raymond Leightman, Wendy Masi, James Monroe, and William A. Snyder.

“This special evening is just one small thank you for these respected financial advisors who listen carefully to their clients and are able to help them achieve their unique philanthropic goals. It also enables us to show them how this results in important support to causes that matter to our community,” said Linda Carter, president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward.
Christy Lambertus, this year’s chair of the Council, expressed her pride in the advisors’ work. “Much of the Foundation’s success and Broward’s progress is thanks to the foresight of our legal and financial professionals,” Lambertus shared.
For close to three decades the Community Foundation of Broward has been a trusted community resource, successfully guiding individuals, families, and businesses in their philanthropy.
The Professional Advisors Council of the Community Foundation of Broward was founded to create a forum in which members of the council can network, provide valued input, and partner with the Foundation to better serve their clients and the community.
