Integrating Financial Engineering and Insurance with Estate Planning

4/23/2012
April 19, 2012

(Fort Lauderdale, April 19, 2012) – “More and more of my clients are taking advantage of the power of combined giving. They understand that making a real difference requires pooling resources,” said Mark Parthemer who has been frequently honored as one of the Best Lawyers in America and a Florida Super Lawyer.  This was just one of many insights Mark Parthemer, Fiduciary Counsel and Head of Legacy Planning for the Southeast Region for Bessemer Trust, outlined in his April 19th presentation to Members of both the Community Foundation of Broward’s Professional Advisors Council and Estate Planning Council of Broward County.

The audience of legal and wealth advisors listened to Parthemer’s strategies on leveraged use of enhanced exemptions, direct gifts and innovative tax strategies. Held at the Riverside Hotel, the event was presented jointly by the Community Foundation of Broward, Greenberg Traurig and the Estate Planning Council of Broward County

“We are honored to partner with advisors to offer our philanthropic expertise and help their clients make charitable choices that are right for them,” stated Barbara Witte, the Foundation’s vice president of Philanthropic Services.

For close to three decades the Community Foundation of Broward has been a trusted community resource, successfully guiding individuals, families, and businesses in their philanthropy.

The Professional Advisors Council of the Community Foundation of Broward was founded to create a forum in which members of the council can network, provide valued input, and partner with the Foundation to better serve their clients and the community.  For information on the council or the Community Foundation of Broward, go to cfbroward.org or call 954-761-9503.
