On May 25th, Professional Advisors Council (PAC) members enjoyed a breakfast presentation by Greg Medalie, Esq. of Medalie & Medalie, P.A. examining the pros and cons of LLCs and Land Trusts in light of legislation changes.
_DSC3947.pngAlong with Charles L. Verner, Greg joined the PAC after suggesting his client, James Coddington consider the Community Foundation in his estate to fulfill his wish to give back to Broward. In the next ten years the James I. Coddington, Jr. Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward is projected to grant more than $1 million to healthcare causes in Broward and grow to a value greater than the original gift.

Guests were also given a demonstration of PhilNet™, the Foundation's powerful new online tool for Donor Advised Fundholders. Accessible from a smartphone, tablet or laptop, PhilNet  offers users the chance to:
  • Learn about Broward programs offering local solutions to real community issues
  • Discover grant opportunities carefully vetted by our expert staff
  • Make on-the-spot grant recommendations anywhere, anytime

Watch Charitable Funds Manger, Amanda Kah, describe how PhilNet™ leads to simple, effective, and joyful giving.
