(Fort Lauderdale, FL, ** 02.07.12) – Paulette Moss attended a Re-imagine Your Future workshop with Encore Connect and found it to be “… an excellent venue for deep thought and future planning.” Several workshops have been held and participants agree that this free one-day workshop is a great way to evaluate, reflect and make a plan.  Workshop sessions have been very interactive, with small group activities, brainstorming and visualization to develop action steps for each person to re-engage in their community through volunteering, networking, or searching for employment.  Workshop participants have now been matched to activities suiting their needs and interests.

Impact Broward welcomes Jean Kouch as Program Manager for Encore Connect.  Jean received her Master’s of International Affairs (M.I.A.) from Columbia University in the City of New York, School of International and Public Affairs. Jean’s professional experience is in education, civic engagement, and international business development. Today, Jean oversees the rapid growth of the Encore Connect program, which is serving the community by providing a connector system for the “New Baby Boomers”.

The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) School of Social Work Aging Academy is developing a series of four programs exclusively for Encore Connect. Topics are: Life Transitions, Building a Social Network, Second Careers, and Leaving a Legacy: Civic Engagement and Beyond.

These ree programs will be presented on the Davie campus in April and May, 2012 to enhance the Encore Connect experience. Attend one program or all four!
As John Gargotta, President and CEO of Impact Broward summed it up, “I thought that spending a day in the Re-imagine Your Future workshop would be too much.  I found that at the end of the day I wanted much more.  Invest a day to plan your future!”
To learn more about any of these programs, or to register for a workshop send an email to or call Jean Kouch at 954-484-7117.
