Kim Cavendish, President and CEO of the Museum of Discovery and Science, provided our American Express Leadership Academy CEO Alumni with valuable insights to successfully run capital campaigns during our first “Success is Your Destiny” off-site event. Designed specifically for alumni, the series of events take leaders inside the headquarters of our region’s most successful nonprofits and businesses to see how they’re able to build high performing organizations. They have hosted over 50 Leadership Academy sessions in six countries, supporting more than 1,500 nonprofit and social sector leaders.

Matt Ladika, CEO of HomeSafe, is applying what he learned from the American Express Leadership Academy at the Community Foundation of Broward, “I can tell you that we at HomeSafe have experienced a significant improvement in service delivery and program expansion in the six months since your program began.  I look forward to sending two staff to your High Performers Program next year.”

Applications are open for Class II until December 1, 2015.  Visit cfbroward.org/academy for more information about this highly competitive program. Register for information webinar sessions: Session #1: Friday, November 6, 2015 or Session #2: Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 9:30-10am.
